In 2024, Disegno Works was appointed by the Design Museum and La Cinémathèque française to help create Wes Anderson: The Archives, a landmark monograph that accompanies the 2025 touring exhibition of the same name.
The first book produced in collaboration with Anderson himself, The Archives explores the director's working practice, drawing on his own extensive archives, analysis from experts in design and cinema, as well as original interviews with the collaborators who make his work possible: from production designers, puppet makers and musicians, to actors such as Tilda Swinton, Jeffrey Wright, Owen Wilson and Scarlett Johansson.
Disegno Works was commissioned to consult on, edit and subedit all commissioned texts for the book, liaising with writers, Anderson's team, and curators at both the Design Museum and La Cinémathèque française to ensure a high quality publication. On top of this, Disegno Works also sourced print and paper quotes, worked to planned budgets, managed production schedules, and oversaw the book's translation for a French language edition.
The book will launch to coincide with the opening of Wes Anderson: The Archives at the Design Museum in November 2025, and is being distributed to international book stores.
