Commissioned by Interiors from Spain, part of ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, Disegno Works produced El Salón, a major installation for Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 staged within the historic Chapter Hall of the Museum of the Order of St John.
The installation was designed by London-based designer Tomás Alonso, and Disegno Works' role extended across the full life of the project - from producing the installation itself through to a launch party, a short film and an accompanying mini book that gave the work a life beyond the four days of the event.
Bringing a major Spanish design showcase into one of the historic settings of Clerkenwell Design Week meant coordinating designer, venue, printer and filmmaker against a fixed event date - production, editorial and event management running in parallel rather than in sequence.
The result was a multi-format record of Spanish design's presence at one of London's most closely watched design weeks: installation, film and book together, rather than any one on its own.
