The Plus is one of the most ambitious industrial buildings in the world: an environmentally responsible factory, built in the heart of a working forest in Magnor, Norway.
Making the Plus is the official monograph documenting the creation of this landmark building, which was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group for Vestre, a leading Norwegian furniture company. Disegno Works oversaw all texts for the publication, from editing exclusive essays and conversations, to writing accessible technical descriptions of every aspect of the building’s architecture.
Vestre commissioned us to guide the editorial process behind the book from end to end, providing all copywriting, interviews and editing for the publication, as well as proofreading and providing editorial guidance throughout to keep the book coherent across contributors and drafts.
Translating an architecturally ambitious, sustainability-driven building into a single publication meant balancing technical detail with a narrative that general readers would find inviting and compelling, and which clearly and passionately explained Vestre’s brand values.
